Yusoff Abdullah (b. 1928, Kelantan, Malaysia) was exposed to batik art from a young age, learning the techniques of batik painting from Chuah Thean Teng. A skilled teacher, Abdullah was bestowed with an Art Teachers Award in 1984 in acknowledgement of his contribution to Art Education. His batik paintings are a testament to his creative and intelligent use of space, form and colour.
