Helen Guek Yee Mei (b. 1971, Malaysia) is a decoration artist, designer, full-time artist and a teacher. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Art from Victoria College of Arts, University of Melbourne, Australia. Helen draws from her own personal and emotional experiences, and over the years has developed a visual language of her own with 'personal symbolism'.  Her images are often tropical in style but always infused with a quiet impenetrable and philosophical serenity like the work of Paula Modersohn-Becker. She was awarded the Philip Morris Malaysia Art Award and “The Strover Award for Excellence” from Australia.
