Nia Khalisa (b. 1995, Malaysia) is a young graduate of the Malaysian Institute of Art. She underwent  a residency in Solo, Indonesia, where she studied batik under the tutorship of the local batik craftspeople. She is a multidisciplinary artist, exploring the engagement of both aesthetics and functionalism in mundane objects and everyday situations.
